DESCRIPTION:Maritzburg College extends a warm welcome to the 10 schools – players\, coaches and supporters – joining us for the Nomad’s week held on Pape’s at Maritzburg College.  \nWe are excited to host night hockey matches\, thanks to our newly installed floodlights. SUMMARY:Skonk Rugby Festival - 24-28 March 2024
DESCRIPTION:It is a great pleasure for Maritzburg College to host the Skonk Nicholson Rugby Festival and to welcome the 20 U14 and U16 teams and their supporters to our campus. \nWe sincerely hope that all who participate or spectate will enjoy all that is great in schoolboy sport\, viz. the camaraderie\, team-spirit\, passion\, commitment and sportsmanship. These were all noble ideals fostered in his rugby teams over 35 seasons by the late Mr Nicholson himself – ones of which we today need to be more mindful than ever. \nA special word of thanks to the following: Director of Rugby Mr H Marnitz\, the master-in-charge of rugby Mr S Stopford\, the tournament director Mr L Smorfitt\, our events manager Mr R Barnard\, Granny Macs Catering\, Mrs S Upfold and the Maritzburg College Marketing Team\, the school’s Estates team\, and all the first aiders and other helpers\, for all their hard work in making this festival a reality. \nOf course\, a special welcome to the home of the Red-Black-White goes to all the players\, coaches\, managers and parents – we hope you enjoy the few days’ rugby and have an enjoyable stay in Maritzburg. \nClick here for the FULL programme \n\nU14 Fixtures and U16 Fixtures\nU14 Results and U16 Results\n\n  \nTeam Photos (please note not all teams took advantage of having photos taken)
